My boyfriend and I went on a date here last night. Our server was super nice, very helpful and patient with us (I'm the type who has a million questions and takes forever to decide). I was so indecisive that I ended up asking him what he recommends and I was not disappointed what so ever. I order the tuna sliders and that tuna salad was some of the best I've ever had. It's pretty dill forward which I love especially paired with the pickle chips and the red onion and celery were more minced than chopped and was just enough for a little crunch but didn't overpower the tuna itself. I also got the POGrita. I'm not a big tequila fan and you can taste the tequila but the other flavors themselves were good. I think I would've liked it more had it been made with vodka. The fire bitters don't make it taste spicy but it does have a warming effect in the back of your mouth after each sip. And the Thai sweet potato fries were pretty good too! They weren't evenly seasoned so some pieces were like over seasoned and some weren't seasoned at all but that did not stop me from shoving my face with as many as I could. The sauce it comes with is a tad spicy and out of fear of heart burn I opted for the tartar sauce on my boyfriend's plate instead. My boyfriend got the fish and chips and the cara. He said the fish reminded him of the gorton's frozen fish but he LOVED the cole slaw. He actually said it was some of the best slaw he's ever had (I tried some even though I'm not a big Cole slaw fan and it tasted cucumbery) he also liked his fries and the tarter sauce we both really liked (I dipped my sweet potato fries in it as well and only wished we ordered like three sides of it because it was so good). The cara was a bit more tart than I expected it to be. My boyfriend enjoyed it because it wasn't too sweet but if I were to go back I personally would order it with a splash of simple syrup to sweeten it up more. Also, presentation of both drinks? Beautiful. Overall, I really would love to come back in hopes of having the same great experience/service and hopefully try the other items I was considering last night! But do expect to pay a pretty penny because it did add up fast and the service is well worth a tip! I'd expect to pay about $90 for two drinks and two meals before tip.

After a few visits to McMenamins for drinks, we finally tried their food and were pleasantly surprised by the flavors. We tried the fish & chips, chicken tenders, and cheeseburger, and all tasted great with flavorful sides and sauces. The best thing for us was the seasonal Seoul City Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It had Korean bbq sauce and kimchi on crispy juicy chicken, which was a perfect combination.

Dropped in for drinks and appetizers with a friend recently. Happy hour is daily from 3-6, even on weekends! We shared the pretzel sticks. One of my favorite appetizers to get anywhere and I have to say, these were delicious. I loved the cheese dip! The service was great, nice sized crowd inside so not too loud and plenty of seating. Great local bar or good option to stop for food/drinks when in the area.
